Russian Soviet Federative Socialist RepublicPost WWI Russia is insane, clingy like hell, abusive of those that belong to him and a general threat to everyone's safety. Make him angry, or run into him being in a foul mood, and you'll most likely end being a red smear at the wall.
He's got a reason for that, though. Russia has been alone from the time he was born, exposed to the Mongolian invaders and the constant cold. He never managed to make anyone stay with him or be real friends with him for a longer time, except for general Winter who is the personification of Russian winter and, although he helps the nation in times of war, has had a great share of driving Ivan mad. The last bit was the revolution of 1905, the execution of the Romanovs and Stalin.
In his attempt to not be alone anymore, Russia has invaded and annexed several nations, usually more than once. Since they did not want to come to his house he forced them to, and also forces them to stay by force. If they try to leave or break any other written or unwritten rules, he'll punish them, especially Lithuania whom he loves most. Of course that drives them away even more which means that he clings stronger.
Towards strangers, Russia is normally a calm, nice, even cheerful person who smiles all the time (that smile never leaves his face and is kind of empty). But the creepiness of his personality shows up every once and then (...rather often).
He is very strong and it is hard to hurt him – not that you can't injure him, but his history has caused him to don't really feel pain anymore and not let it affect his fighting. Also, cold seems to not affect him, but he still wears a scarf all the time which was given to him by his older sister.
